My Farewell: Saying Goodbye after 9.5 Years

Saying goodbye is never easy. It’s a moment filled with mixed emotions, where the joy of new beginnings intertwines with the sadness of parting ways. As I sit down to write this blog post, I find myself grappling with these conflicting feelings, as it’s time for me to bid farewell. It’s a poignant moment, but it’s also an opportunity to reflect on the journey I’ve had and shared while also expressing my gratitude for the memories that have been created.

Although not very old, this blog has become a special place for me—a platform to share my thoughts, ideas, and experiences with you. From some of my personal stories to informative articles, we’ve embarked on a journey together, exploring various topics and delving into the depths of our shared humanity. It’s been a privilege to have your support and engagement throughout this endeavor, and for that, I’m truly grateful. Through the process of writing and interacting, I’ve grown as a person and as a writer. As with every chapter in life, there comes a time when we must turn the page and embark on new adventures. It is with a heavy heart but an optimistic spirit that I announce that this will be my final blog post. I am stepping away to explore new avenues and pursue fresh creative endeavors.

However, this is also not only my last blog post but my last day at YWCA Greater Austin. After 9.5 years of service to this agency, I am moving on to a new opportunity. As I sit down to pen this message, my heart is filled with a mix of emotions as I prepare to bid farewell to this remarkable workplace that has been my second home for the past 9.5 years. It is with a bittersweet sentiment that I express my gratitude and say goodbye to a place I called home for so long. Throughout these years, I have had the privilege of working alongside some of the most dedicated and talented individuals in the industry. The bonds I have formed, the challenges we have all overcome, and the victories we celebrated together have left an indelible mark on my professional and personal life. I am truly grateful for the opportunities I have been given, the experiences that have shaped me, and the friendships that will endure beyond the confines of the office walls.

As I reflect on my time here, I am humbled by the immense growth and learning that I have experienced.
